“ Love the tranquillity of this place. Bought a season pass for 90. Seems steep for the year as it was 70 last year. But, all things considered... it is 10 to park per visit so we will certainly make use of it. Bonfire night entrance is not included in the price which I find disappointing. This is a beautiful place in all weathers ”

“ It's a pleasant and good size cafe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff and the premises have made real changes for the better in the last year , and now the coffee is consistently good, the cakes are consistent and whilst a tad on the pricey side, they are in line with most other cafes now. They serve great toasted teacakes, and amazing vegan chick-pea pasties, well worth trying, Staff always friendly. Gone are the days when the coffee wasn't warm enough - it's always spot-on now, and this is a great place to go before or after your walk. And, they've adapted one end of the cafe indoors to make it dog-friendly too. All in all, excellent. ”

“ My wife bakes so our bar is set pretty high so I’m very happy to say the cakes we tried here were exceptionally good. The white chocolate and raspberry cake was amazingly good and so was the Bakewell tart which was made with flakey pastry, we told the young lady at the counter how much we enjoyed them, frankly you don’t expect such high standards at venues like this so very well done ”

“ Great place for a brew and cake after a good long walk. Staff helpful and friendly. Tables cleared and cleaned promptly. Lovely views of the river and countryside when dining outside. Toilets well maintained and clean. Restrictions for shop so it doesn't get to crowded. Lovely postcards available, cards, sweets, books and toys. Something for everyone. Entrance fee is 12.50 per car. No booking on-line required. Photos show views from bridge over river. ”

“ Beautiful place, great for walks. Very tranquil along the riverside. Places for BBQs, picnics and a run around with a football. Lots of cycle paths, Plenty of car parking but it can get busy, on sunny bank holidays for instance! Didn't get to see everything so a second visit is definitely on the cards. Warn the children in advance though; this is not an activity centre and little ones will get tired on the lengthier trails. ”

“ Nice cafe within the Bolton Abbey estate. The cafe is quite large with indoor & outdoor seating. There are chiller cabinets for food & drink on the go. There's also a well stocked gift shop right next to the cafe. ”
